Saturday Splat!

So ... I am going to my cousin's B-day party today! I only kinda know two of her friends, her "Guy Friend" and "Adorable A" ... the rest I don't know. We are going roller Skating (I love :0). My brother always falls on his bottom!(ha ha). And then afterwards, we are supposed to go back to her house and I am bringing Singstar! That will be fun. My brother thinks he's the best at it!(I'm OK at it ... depends on the song). Then we (the girls) are going to have a sleepover. That will be fun too. Anyways I got to get ready!

Happy Birthday, PrincessD!!

The Pirates That Don't Do Anything

Last night was great! We went to go see "The Pirates That Don't Do Anything," the new VeggieTales movie. It was an amazing experience (being a VIP and all)! We got there and there was this long line and tons of people. We had no idea where we were supposed to go. So we stood in line for 15-20 minutes, then my dad went and found someone to give us our wrist bands (so that we could sit in our reserved theater seats with my mom's name on them)(Hee-Hee)! When the movie started everybody clapped and screamed (especially the guy behind me) ... it sounded as if he was the loudest person there. Anyway ... the movie was pretty hilarious, like when Larry, aka Elliot, states he has a "list" of the things he does not like ... or when the Rock Monsters dance and then the papa rock does a cannon ball! Funny stuff there! I think it is perfect for everybody. I loved it! It was a great movie.

If you what more info then what I have on the movie, you can go to my mom's page.

Bus crashes killes 1, injures dozens

HOUSTON - A chartered bus coming from Mexico veered off a highway early Wednesday and overturned, killing one passenger and injuring dozens of others, at least six of them critically, authorities said. Some of the passengers crawled out an emergency exit on the roof. The bus had left Monterrey, Mexico, on Tuesday evening and was headed to Houston when it crashed on U.S. 59 several hours before dawn, authorities said.

"The investigation is centering on driver fatigue," said Tom Vinger, spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety. "It looks like he ran off the road, way overcorrected then tipped over on the passenger side."

Passenger Francisco Cardenas, 66, who was returning from a holiday in Monterrey, said he was awakened by screams. "The hardest thing was to see all the other people," said Cardenas, who had a cut on his face, blood on his shirt and blood on his shoes. "There was no way out."He said people eventually pushed the emergency exit on the roof to escape.

After the bus ended up on its side, it was struck by a small pickup, Vinger said. The driver of the truck was not injured. The bus was operated by Capricorn Bus Lines Inc. of Houston. Francisca Flores, manager of the family-owned company, said it has four buses and only makes trips between Houston and Monterrey. She said 47 people were on the bus but declined to elaborate, beyond saying it was the first wreck in the company's nine-year history. The identity of the man who died was not released. Vinger said the driver was not seriously injured, and that it was too early to tell whether he could face charges. His name also was not released.

What I think-

I think thats sad a man was coming back for the holidays and the bus hit a "small pickup" and flipped. If I awakened to people screaming and dying then I would have to say that would be the worst day of my life. And also, so one died, gosh ... I pray for his family. Also he just died during the holidays ... ahhhhh that's sad!

Busy Bee ...

I have been a Busy Bee. I have, like, not got on here in forever. Or at least thats what it feels like. I have been busy and have not had time to update this so here I go (prior to moving accounts).

Our winner's from last month's community contest won a great prize from ChickAndCubs.com!

Here is some information on the cool pink camo ID bracelet they won!!

The great thing about this bracelet is that it can be used for medical alert and it can be used to keep info needed incase of getting lost or what we don't want to think about - hurt.Even tweens need to know many numbers and information incase something happens.
On vacation - hotels can look the same.
What if your 12 year old is on an outing with another family - does she know all their cell #s?
The bracelet fits wrist sizes: 3.5"- 6.75" It is great for kids ages 10-15.
They will love the camo look.
Even when kids are old enough to know phone #s - when they are in a panic will they be able to remember the phone # they need right then?
I know I depend on my cell phone to have the numbers I need - your youth needs this identification bracelet as a back-up.
Also great when you child is out with others -they have all the info they need - you don't have to keep writing things down for the other parents!
Go check out their website for more information or to order!
